Cold Greetings from Ruth Logan Herne!!

Well folks, how about it? You up for another day of festivities? We're on Day 8 of this endeavor and so far I think it's going well, what about you?

Anyway, today is very special. Not to say our other days haven't been good, boy have they been good! But today we have our first author joining us. You know her, love her, and just want to give her a big ol' hug!! It's Ruth Logan Herne visiting us today!!! *the crowd goes wild*

Yes, she is sticking around to answer a few questions. So here it is, Ruthy Revealed ; )

H: Ruthy! I am so glad that you are finally on my blog! It seems like a long time coming, which has finally....well...come! Lol...so tell me what is your favorite part(s) of the Christmas season?

R: I love the lights. I was a poor little girl in a dark house, and Christmas lights and candles have always been special to me.
I’m drawn to the light and just love how Christmas lights brighten dark, rainy or snowy streets in December.

But I love the music too, and both are a huge part of me, so I can’t pick between them. I love Advent hymns of waiting and watching, they’re so prayerful and warm. But I love upbeat carols too, and TRANSIBERIAN ORCHESTRA!!! Love them!

H: I just listened to Carol of the Bells by them and it's fantastic!! Great choice : ) What are some of your traditions? (i.e. food, gift giving, family traditions, etc)?

R: The kids are grown now so we collectively pool money and adopt a family from the Salvation Army. We don’t need more things, and so many go without that it’s silly to go crazy with gifts for each other, you know? But we still make sure the grandkids get cool presents from Grammy and Grandpa because they’re part of our heart…

H: That's great of your family to do, Ruthy. We "adopt" local children through our church. They're all different ages and we get clothes, toys, etc for them. Also our high school works with The Upper Valley Haven. We always donate towards that also. Do you have a favorite Christmas themed book/recommendation? Movie?

R: .
Movie: It’s a Wonderful Life. LOVE IT! And Anne Tyler’s Saint Maybe. Great inspiration about atonement
Book: The Crippled Lamb and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. When I read that to little ones, I know I used to be one of those Herdmans, just wanting to be clean. Wanting to belong. Love that story.

H: Oh Ruthy, The Crippled Lamb is what KC said was her favorite book too!! It's a small world, eh? I just dug out our copy yesterday, will read it this weekend! How have your Christmas traditions changed since you were a kid now that you have a _________ (family, at college, etc)?

R: My traditions are all new ones except that I’ve been doing them for 35 years, so they’re not so new, LOL! We love going to Midnight Mass now that the kids are grown, but with grandchildren now there’s only a couple of kids that can go along. Babies have to be zonked and doing that whole visions of sugarplums thing, you know?

Food. Lots of food. My husband’s family spends Christmas Eve with us, we spend Christmas day with our kids/grandkids and friends and then we have a mid-December Christmas party for my family at my niece’s house.
And yet more food. ;)
We read Luke’s gospel telling of the first Christmas at my family party, a tradition my mother began in her later years. Very nice memories go with that!
I love lights and kindergarten ornaments. They’re the best.

H: We don't have a Midnight Mass here, but even if we did, we probably wouldn't go to it because we get up so early (see yesterday's post to know what I mean!) on Christmas!! LOL! Food is always good, no harm there! If you had to pick one “symbol” of Christmas (i.e. ornaments, the tree, the lights, the nativity set, etc.), what would you pick as your favorite?

R: The crèche/manger scene. Love it.

H: Again, great choice! Stay tuned and later on I'll be posting our many nativity scenes we have around here : ) What did you ask Santa for this year? *wink*

R: I’m such a boring mother now! I just want to see my kids and grandkids. Everything else is ordinary compared to that.

H: Not boring at all! It just proves that you're an exceptional mother and grammy, Ruthy!

These are some bests. Just fill them in with your favorite/the best.
Christmas present as a child?
Tearie Dearie. Great doll!
Favorite Christmas? No faves, are ya’ kiddin’ me? Each one’s better than the last….
Christmas song? “What Child is This/Child of the Poor” medley.
Place to spend Christmas day? At home, with family, feeding everyone even though I’m not Italian!
Christmas food? Pie. Cannolis. Shrimp. Tiramisu. Quesadillas.

Ruthy, thank you SO much for taking the time out of your busy, busy writing schedule, not to mention keeping up with that family of yours!
We all love you Ruthy and your books are excellent!!! Please everyone, especially if you're not familiar with Ruthy's books, visit her at her website. She LOVES hearing from her readers : )

Today there is a giveaway!! We will be giving away one copy of Winter's End by Ruth Logan Herne! I know it's not quite the end of winter yet, but ah well!! LOL! We want to know what your favorite part about winter is? Also be sure to leave your email, without these two parts, you will not be eligible for the drawing.

Okay onto the Mystery Song of the Day!!! Hint: This song is incredibly sad. There is a book and movie that stemmed from the song alone (I think that was the order). Hope you enjoy it!

That's all for another day, friends! Tomorrow you're all in for a treat when our favorite redhead stops in for a bit ; ) Can you guess who it is!?
It's getting closer!

My Christmas Traditions - LONG post (sorry)!!

Disclaimer: I am so sorry that I'm late posting this. It was supposed to get posted at midnight last night, but I didn't get it finished before that. So I am finishing it this morning and then posting it!!

Today we're taking it back a notch, lol! The past two posts have been so fun and I am delighted to have been graced by the presence of these wonderful women, but today it's all about home. This will be a step=by=step revealing of how we celebrate Christmas in my family!

Ah, Thanksgiving. A time spent with your loved ones amongst a feast fit for a king. What could be better? ; ) Anyway, I love Thanksgiving, I really do, but (as you all now know) what I really look forward to is the Christmas season. So the day after our Thanksgiving festivities is the day that Mom starts instilling her "Christmas Rules". Of which inclueds:

So, we clean that weekend, that way we can do everything we want to do! Usually our cleaning is finished that weekend, so Alicia and I get out our fake trees in our room, our villages, and nativity sets. Yes, you heard me right, trees in our rooms! It's a pain in the butt to set up BUT oh so rewarding. I just love the look of it : )

This is the week that we get our Christmas tree! We always get our tree from my cousin, who sells them at Grandma's house. We always pick it out on Friday night or Saturday morning, uncle brings it to our house (because he has a truck!) and helps us move it in, then we decorate on Sunday. This year was no different. We looked at a couple trees that were a good height, but pretty gappy
or too skinny,
always something wrong with it, right?

I won't go into too much detail on the tree because there will be a tree post coming up!!

This is usually the weekend that we get our mom's village set up and the little Christmas tree with lights. Oh, how could I forget about the Nativity Set? This is basically a time to get all of our holiday "stuff" out to decorate. I don't have pictures uploaded yet, but they're coming!!

By this time this year, I will be done school with only my two finals left. That is so great to say!! This weekend is when we hopefully get started on wrapping presents. Mom is ahead of everything this year and got a little bit of wrapping done last night, go her!! This is also when a lot of our "relaxing" comes into play. We spend a lot of time watching movies and TV - especially Lifetime and the 25 Days of Christmas.

We also play a lot of games!! Some of our favorites are:

Nothing too specific usually. This is usually when we make our sugar cookies and gingerbread boys (and girls of course!). This year will be interesting since Christmas is on a Saturday. Mom and Alicia have school until that Wednesday, December 22 (all day that day then they're done). I'm not sure when I will be working until, but possibly even on Christmas Eve. We will spend family time as much as we can and enjoy the season as it comes to its' end.

This brings us up to Christmas Eve, folks. An exciting day, but also a little sad. Soon this holiday will be over for another whole year, but don't dwell on that. Enjoy it while you still can!! One of the things we do in the morning is move all our gifts to the three of us out and put them under the tree. It's neat to get to see our hard work, time, and money essentially under the tree!! We then will bring down the presents to grandma's house for the next day. This includes presents for about 10 people from the three of us. You have to understand we really do go all out, we've got a couple HUGE boxes usually! Lol....we like to give gifts in my family : ) This year, as I said before, might be a little different because Alicia and/or I might have to work, but we'll deal with it.

That night is our Christmas Eve service at 7pm. We go to a small Methodist church in downtown, so nothing extravagant, but our church does look beautiful. In more recent years we got our newest pastors: Pastor Sandy and Lory, a husband and wife team. Pastor Lory really likes the children getting involved, so we have started doing a Christmas pageant during the Christmas Eve service instead of hearing it read to us. We shut out all the lights except for a "spot light" which goes in the front. Interspersed throughout the story are songs. So when the wise men were walking to get to the baby Jesus, example, they walk around the whole church while we sing We Three Kings. It's very cool! However, it just wouldn't be complete without the star being lit high in the rafters of the church ceiling, beautiful!!

After the service, we always have our drive. We drive all over town, looking for Christmas lights, and listening to Christmas music. This is a tradition I definitely want to continue with my kids because I remember loving it as a kid. Now, it's a peaceful, reflective time for the three of us. We don't talk too much usually, we just soak in the true meaning of Christmas.

When we get home, it's the same thing every year. There are two presents that mysteriously showed up under the tree. They're always unmarked but "must be from Santa". It's always pajamas! They used to be matching, every year, until middle school or high school lol! But it's a fun tradition : )

Alicia and I leave out the cookies and milk, sneak a cookie for ourselves too : ) Then we have to go upstairs. We usually can find A Christmas Story - you know...you're gonna shoot your eye out!! LOL! This is the one night of the year we actually go to bed pretty easily for Mom! Lol....but it's with giddy anticipation still of what's to come the next day.

WOOHOO!!! It's here!! That fateful day that we've been leading up to for almost a whole month is finally here!!

Every year Mom says we're not getting up early and every year Alicia and I prove her wrong. Two years ago we were up between 5-6am to do the tree, lol! However the catch (I guess God was telling us to go back to bed!) was that right after we opened our first present, the power went out. We rigged up candles and flashlights both to be able continue : )

The rule is (another one of those infamous "mom" rules!) that we can't go downstairs without mom, we can't see the tree (go in the living room). We have to wait for mom to drink some coffee, Maddie to go out and come back in, and eat some Munchkins...

NO not those munchkins!!!

Those munchkins!!

We then are allowed to see the tree. No touching though! Mom has to take pictures in front of the tree with stockings and Maddie. Lol! THEN we can open stockings, including Mom. It's hard to get her to sit down and open it! Then finally we can start on the tree!! Hallelujah ; )

Later in the day (9-10am), we go down to Grandma's. At Grandma's we have to wait for everyone to get there, but then we do the tree first there. Alicia and I are designated "elves" for the time being, in charge of passing out gifts. Afterwards, we pick up the dining room (also where the tree is) to set up for dinner.

Okay, I'm going to cut it short there because this is already SO long!! I guess I should've broken it down into two posts, sorry about that....

The Myster Song of Day is here!! In the spirit of remember that reflective attitude in the car, this song was chosen. Okay, I have no clue for you today because there are no words to describe. I really hope you enjoy this version, I know it always gives me chills!

Please, if you want to let me know of some traditions, games you play, things like that do so!! I LOVE hearing all about it!! And stay tuned for tomorrow. And hold onto your seat because tomorrow Ruth Logan Herne rushes in!! Come stop by for a bit : )
Hope your holiday season is taking shape!!

Merry Christmas from KC Frantzen!

Welcome back everyone!
Hope your weekends were all festive and wonderful! Here, it's trying to snow (really hard!!), we set up Christmas tree, decorated a lot! All in all, a goot time : )

Moving right along though, we have a very special visitor today helping to spread the Christmas cheer during the blogfest. Everyone, please kindly welcome KC Frantzen!! You probably have seen KC (and her lovely dog, May) around on the blogosphere in places like Seekerville or Seasons of Humility blogs. She is an extremely kind person and I'm thrilled to have her here with us today!! Onward to the interview:

H: What is your favorite part(s) of the Christmas season?

KC: Thanks for including an (s) there…
Marveling that we have God with us, and He chose to come as an INFANT. Wow.
Renewing acquaintances from the year
Seeing the delight on a face at a gift well-chosen
Dressing up the dogs in their Christmas collars

H: Your welcome! You chose some great things to highlight, KC, but I have to say...awwwwww! We change our puppie's bandana for special occasions/holidays. She even wore a graduation cap for my graduation party this year! What are some of your traditions? (i.e. food, gift giving, family traditions, etc)?

KC: We typically spend every other major holiday with each other's relatives so that makes it special. We donate lambs/rabbits/chickens to Gospel for Asia Ministry.
This year we sent a sewing machine.

H: Wow, KC that's so wonderful! Actually coming up when Cheryl Wyatt's interviewed, she mentioned things similar to this. I won't spoil it, but be sure to drop by to see what she talked about, okay? How lucky they are to have people like you and your husband in this world. Do you have a favorite Christmas themed book/recommendation? Movie?

KC: Being an animal lover, The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado is a favorite. Makes me cry every time. The Touched by an Angel Christmas double episode with Randy Travis. It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas and for pure fun, Christmas Vacation and a Christmas Story!

H: Ohhhh I used to LOVE Touched by an Angel.
We used to watch it with Mom, because she loved it too. Thanks for bringing back some great memories, girl! We used to read The Crippled Lamb, I think....I looked it up and I know the cover. Will have to poke around here and see if I can find it again for this Christmas! THIS is a really cute adaptation of this book, KC!
If you had to pick one “symbol” of Christmas (i.e. ornaments, the tree, the lights, the nativity set, etc.), what would you pick as your favorite?

KC: Ornaments, for as I say, we have so many memories entwined with our collection. They are special. Not worth much to anyone else probably, but they are to us! I still have several paper ornaments from when I was little. We hardly had 2 cents to rub together but had a roof over our head and were happy. My parents worked very hard and made sure we had what we needed, and a little more. This particular Christmas time, we needed some boxes. So we made the rounds, driving behind stores in a strip mall. There was an upscale shop which had just thrown out some things, including package decorations. I still think they are lovely and they go on our tree annually. It's a good reminder. (KC also shared with me that her and her husband collect ornaments from everywhere they travel!)

H: We do the same thing with collecting ornaments from places travelled. It's interesting because now that we've been so many places over the years, Mom doesn't even put ornaments on our tree. It consists only of my sister's and my ornaments now. It's still really fun to reflect, I agree! That's such a great story too about the boxes. Ornaments mean nothing unless there is a story to go with them, I'd say.

These are some bests. Just fill them in with your favorite/the best.
Christmas present as a child?
Snow at Christmas time when I was VERY small (in Houston)
Christmas song? Carol of the Bells and anything from The Messiah
Christmas food? MUST HAVE RICE DRESSING!!! And homemade cranberry sauce! We ALWAYS have wassail (homemade) and usually one round of egg nog (not homemade).

KC: This is an opportunity to publicly thank our military, law enforcement, first responders and their families. We appreciate all you do for us, your sacrifice and courage. Know we remember you in prayer, especially at this time of year, with weather changes and often great distances between you and your families. We also remember our wounded and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. You are not forgotten.

And remember that Jesus Christ came as an infant, but He grew up! He came to make the ultimate sacrifice, paying the penalty for OUR sin, that we might live in Heaven forever. That is the greatest holiday gift of all.

Thank you, KC, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to celebrate this wondrous holiday with us! Please, take some time out of your day to check out this rising author's website. Her books are about her dog, May, who's a cutie, by the way!! Also, if any of you can, check out her first chapter of her book. She would love to get some critique back on it, so listen to it and then contact her. Also, she would love to get children listening to it as well, since that is the age group she'd targeting. Thanks for you help!!

And now, onto our Mystery Song of the Day!! Hint: This is a feel good song that makes you want to sing along (what Christmas song doesn't, right!?). You hear these a lot more at Christmas time, I think ; ) This version might be a little different than what you hear on the radio, but I love it!! Now I know there have been a lot of links already, but this is a fun, quirky, more modern version of our mystery song of the day!

Okay, now that I've talked your ear off ANOTHER day, I will let you get back to your regularly scheduled programming ; ) Another big thank you to KC for stopping by today!! I hope to see all of you the rest of the month too since this blogfest IS ongoing. There are some really fun giveaways coming and our first author interview with Ruth Logan Herne is this coming Wednesady, December 8, so be sure to join us!!
Thanks for reading : )

Season's Greetings from Renee!!

Welcome back to Day Three of our extravaganza!!

Today we're welcoming Renee Chaw (aka steelergirl83) to the Christmas Blogfest! Renee is now a good blogging friend and I'm so excited that she can be the first interviewee during the blogfest and, quite frankly, ever on Project Journal! We're making history today, folks! Thank you so much, Renee! Without further ado, here's Renee:

H: Are you a big celebrator of Christmas?

R: Well like a lot of families we’ve had to cut back in the recent years as far as going all out with decorating, gift-giving etc. but we still have a ton of Christmas spirit. Mind you nobody dresses up like Santa or anything but it’s definitely a holly jolly Christmas EVERY year!

H: I hear ya, Renee. I think that's true for everyone about cutting back recently. I'm glad you guys have managed to keep the Christmas spirit!! What are some of your traditions? (i.e. food, gift giving, family traditions, etc)

R: Well first things first we always put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. My dad works during the day and my brother goes to school so usually my mom, my younger brother, and I decorate the tree and have it lit by the time they come home so they can relax on the couch and enjoy it! These past two Christmas’s we’ve had Coco to “help” too so that’s always fun...I just wish we could train her to fetch the ornaments for us!

Coco under the Christmas tree last year

H: That is SO cool that you get your tree up that early! I got my fake Christmas tree up in my room (at home, not school) last weekend lol. Awwww Coco! I wish Maddie would fetch our ornaments too, it would cut a lot out of the process! Lol...do you have a favorite Christmas themed book/recommendation? Movie?

R: Oh I LOVE Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the movie (my favorite character is the abominable snowman of course!) and I love the book The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey! I really think it captures the spirit of the Christmas season.

H: Oh Renee! GREAT choices!! Love both of those! We actually have the figurines from the Rudolph movie, I thought I might add some pictures of those once we get them out : ) And we have that book! I always used to love hearing it....thanks for picking such great options for the people to try if they haven't! If you had to pick one “symbol” of Christmas (i.e. ornaments, the tree, the lights, the nativity set, etc.), what would you pick as your favorite?

R: Of course I love the Christmas tree but I would have to say that Nativity set is one of my favorite Christmas symbols, after all without the birth of Jesus there would be no “Christ”mas!

H: Renee! Great pick, I love the nativity set. There's something so peaceful and serene about it. I'm going to be posting pictures of ours too! Those are all coming up later on in our 25 days together. What did you ask Santa for this year? *wink*

R: Good question. I’m always last minute making my list and this year is no different. I’ve made up my mind that I want an e-reader of some sort but I’m kind of up in the air as to which one! Please help! LOL!

H: Ohhhh I've already told you what I think (Kindle!!) : D Maybe Santa will be good to you...that is if you've been good this year?! What was one gift that you always wanted, but never got?

R: A Barbie Dream House!

H: This was OUR Barbie Dream House!!

Renee's Favorites/Bests from Christmas' Past:
Christmas present as a child? Dream Bride Barbie or my Lil Miss Mermaid Doll
Christmas song? O Holy Night by Josh Groban
Place to spend Christmas day? My house with family and friends
Christmas food? PIE!!!!!!!!!

LOL Renee, I love that last answer, makes me laugh everytime I see it : D
Once again thanks so, so much for agreeing to spend a day with us. It was so much fun!! Now Renee has been kind enough in this giving spirit to offer a book giveaway for everyone today!! It is a "Mystery Giveaway" but it will definitely be a book ; ) This is only open to people within the United States, sorry about that! Make sure to leave your email in the comments and say that you want to be entered and you will be randomly entered in the drawing. Thanks again, Renee!!

If you want to check out Renee some more, join her on her blog: Black 'n Gold Girl's Book Spot!!!

And now it's time for our Mystery Christmas Song of the Day to listen to as you comment!! Today's hint: Brrrrr! It's freezing outside! *wink* This should be pretty easy I think....

Oh and I just couldn't resist! Just for FUN!!! Word of warning though, you'll have to turn the volume up a lot in the beginning if you want to hear all of it.

Hope you all have a lovely (Fri)day!!
Hannah

Onto the second day!

Welcome back to day two of this festive blogfest!!

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, getting used to our cozy living room we'll be hanging out in for a while : )

Today I wanted to post the Christmas Story. Thank you to HolyDays for posting this!

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written: "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'" Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."
After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."
So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene."

--Matthew 1:18 - 2:23 New International Version

I feel like this is a nice way to start off our Christmas season, just to remind us of the origin.

Now onto our mystery song of the day!! I've decided that I'll give you a hint and (this is completely on the honor's system now...) you can try to guess before you click to link!! This song always makes me think of a "classic" Christmas song and....horses : ) Enjoy the fun pictures with it!!
See you tomorrow (almost done with this week, phew!!)

Concerns

I have some concerns. I'm not blaming anybody specifically, but there has been someone leaving rude, disruptive comments in the Cbox and in the comments section. I took down the Cbox because there is no way to delete the comments. HOWEVER if this continues, I will take away the anonymous commenting. Please stop leaving these comments as they are disruptive for this blog atmosphere. This is supposed to be a nice time of the year, which I'm celebrating on my blog, and I would appreciate it to stop immediately.
Thank you,

Hannah's First Ever Christmas Blogfest Kick-off!!!

It is here, people!! I have been working like crazy getting this ready (well I've been working hard at least lol!!). I wish you all knew everything that was coming up, but you'll just have to wait and see what I have up my sleeve *wink*

So today, I thought instead of jumping right in on some of my interviews, we'll set the scene. Later on we'll be decorating our tree but for now, I'll let you know that we have a nice BIG tree hanging out in the corner; we're waiting for the leaves to drop.

Now keep in mind that our is not decorated yet, but it's a big tree! Anyway, the rest of the room is a comfy living room setting. There's a fireplace over there *Hannah points over to the right* A nice toasty fire will come in handy on some of these days, I have a feeling lol! There's plenty of seats, so everyone grab a seat. I'll just sit over here on this couch.

So my question for you today is:

While you're commenting, please enjoy our first surprise song!! This is the first of many, they are being chosen by me, so if you have any suggestions that you might want to see, let me know, okay? I picked this song specifically to get you pumped up! You should be getting excited for Christmas : ) I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to link to all of the songs onto Youtube instead of adding right to post.
Have fun today and I really hope to see you tomorrow too!!
Hannah
